17th Annual Puttin' on the Ritz:

We're already gearing up for the 17th annual Puttin' on the Ritz black tie-optional fundraiser. Last year we moved venues to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art and it was a huge success, so we are again holding the event there. We will have food and drink from local Fort Wayne favorites, as well as live music from Chris Worth and live and silent auctions. 2012 Children's Shopping Spree

 _Once again it is time for this year's
Back to School Shopping event at Kohl's, where our club members get to know intimately what each child needs to have in order to make the next school year successful. Each year our club strives to affect the lives of as many children as possible in our community. Last year we took 70 children Back to School Shopping, and once again we are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring 75 children from Big Brothers Big Sisters with $100 per child from the funds we raised at Puttin' on the Ritz. On top of that we provide each child with a backpack full of school supplies. This has been one of our greatest and most humbling events for our members, where we realize how important a pair of shoes or jeans or shirts or socks or even underwear can be to providing confidence in our youngest members of society. The light in the face of a child when we finally get it right says it all - thank you!

     On Saturday, March 10th the Active 20-30 Club of Fort Wayne #700 hosted the 16th installment of our Annual fundraiser Puttin’ on the Ritz at the beautiful Fort Wayne Museum of Art. This was a homecoming for the Fort Wayne Club as our inaugural Puttin’ on the Ritz was held at the Museum of Art in March of 1997 and it is amazing how each of us have grown over the past fifteen years. As the Museum has expanded and grown so has the membership, reach and impact of our Club in the community. This growth has been made possible by our sponsors, community partners and by you, our supporters!
    Throughout the evening over 200 guests indulged in gourmet cuisines from Club Soda, Fresh Market and Fort Wayne Chocolate Fountain while they danced the night away to the sweet sounds of Chris Worth & Company. Club Soda was also on hand to provide beverages throughout the evening while Elegant Occasions gave guests the opportunity to sample multiple wines from local wineries.
     We were happy to offer over seventy live and silent auction items from local companies, artist, individuals and Club members. The silent auction kept guest engaged as they tried to vie for the item of their desire while the live auction, handled by http://www.eoonline.com, kept everyone entertained. For those that prefer a game of chance we also offered up our signature bar raffle where winner takes all on the pull of a single ticket. And who could possibly forget the beautiful centerpiece flower arrangements from Lillian Rose Flowers?
    The Active 20-30 Club would not be able to impact the number of children that we currently do without the support of our community. It may be a single night out on the town for you, but the funds that you help us raise can change a child’s entire future.
